AT&T acquired DirecTV, which offered the opportunity to evolve their modest home automation ecosystem into AT&T Digital Life. Loads of customer research revealed people didn’t want to only monitor or control IoT devices, the real desire was to protect, and connect what matters to them in new ways. Monitoring family activity, and building truly smarter homes.
Working closely with teams of talented AT&T product managers, software, and hardware engineers, we designed and built a modern, connected smart home. All this resulted in a suite of apps for phones and tablets, expanded to custom wall mounted devices, and used the TV as the center stage, each working together to create a seamless ecosystem built to scale by design.
